The Kumon Method of learning began in Japan in 1954 when High School Mathematics Teacher Toru Kumon designed a series of worksheets to help his grade 2 son with Maths.  Today, Kumon operates in 45 countries, with over 300 Kumon Centres in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Kenya.
